William Munroe was born in Concord, Massachusetts 1806 June 24 and died there 1877 April 27. He was the son of William Munroe, a pencil maker in Concord. A businessman in dry goods and importing in Boston, New York, and Europe, he was a partner in the dry goods importing house of Little, Alden &amp; Co. and a director of Pacific Mills in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
